Eligibility & Payment

Who qualifies, and how care is paid for

Many Michigan adults qualify for home help through Medicaid or a Long-Term Care program. Others choose to pay privately. Either way, we will walk you through it — there is no cost to ask.

Payment options

Ways to pay for home care

We accept the following. We are happy to explain each option and help you get started.

Michigan Medicaid — Home Help Program

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Home Help Program pays for non-medical personal care for eligible Medicaid recipients who need help with daily activities at home.

Long-Term Care programs

Adults enrolled in a Michigan long-term care or waiver program may be able to use their benefits for in-home support. We will help you check with your care coordinator.

Private pay

Families who prefer to pay directly can choose the hours and services they need, with clear rates and no long-term contract.
